Nikhil Kumar Verma works as a Marketing Technologist with Royal Enfield, where his day job is to improve customer experience for Royal Enfield customers while making the technology aspect as unobtrusive as possible.

He also runs a creative design studio called Neutron Works, serves as a Regional Sales Trainer with Google Partner Academy and advisor with Maker’s Asylum (A community space aimed at fostering the Maker movement and DIY culture).

On the corporate front he has trained companies like Baja Auto, SET, HT, Times of India, World Wide Media, Parle, Mahindra, Times Internet and a few others as the Lead Trainer for Digital Marketing with Digital Vidya.

His previous roles have seen him working as :

Creative Technologist ( at McCann Worldgroup – an advertising agency group),
Head of Innovation and Digital Strategy Consultant (at Publicis India – an advertising agency group),
Brand Partner & Creative Technologist (at BBH India – a creative advertising agency),
Digital Strategist (at Naked Communications – a strategic communications management consultancy),
Product Manager (at True Sparrow Systems, building web applications for XING, the European business social network); and Pinstorm – a digital marketing agency.

He also spent close to a year working at an early stage venture capital fund called Seedfund and evangelising for a lifestyle activism project called TheTossedSalad.com since the start of this decade.

He has been part of the teams that managed marketing campaigns (Digital and Integrated) for some of the leading brands such as Acer, Airtel, Ambuja, Apollo Tyres, AXE, Bharti AXA, Burger King, Café Coffee Day, Citibank, Coca Cola, Diageo, Diageo, Fabindia, Fortis, Godfrey Phillips, Google, Heineken, Hiranandani, Honda, ICICI Bank, Johnnie Walker, Kelloggs, Lakme, Lufthansa, MakeMyTrip, Marico, Michelin, MTV, Nerolac, Nestle, Nokia, Park Avenue, RedBull, RedBull, Reliance Jio, Royal Western India Turf Club, Sanofi, Skoda, SpiceJet, Vaseline, Vicks & World Gold Council.

Currently, Nikhil tinkers with the Internet and goes for longs walks/rides after making lemonade and cake.

Nikhil once made it to the list of top 50 most relevant Indian Twitter users at #3 in a survey by the Financial Times in 2011, and went on to create a more comprehensive (and accurate) India Influencer index for twitter users.

He’s also behind an award-winning startup ideation – gymwalla presented @ iWeekend 2010 at CIIE, IIMA.

He holds a B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from BIT Mesra, Ranchi.
